The Lilia Litvyak Museum

A modest museum, funded by the efforts of curator Valentina Vaschenko, sits in the town of Krasny Luch, Eastern Ukraine. It contains virtually all of the artifacts from the short life of the amazing young lady who was the world’s first, and most successful, female fighter pilot. These artifacts have been lovingly collected and displayed by Valentina for over 60 years. Outside the museum sits a granite monument confirming Lilia’s 15 solo kills. A metal sculpture of Lilia’s bust rests on top. My hope is to keep the museum vital; my dream is make it a must-see destination for the adventurous traveler.

The Papa Cado Fund
