Charity – M.G. Crisci Gives Back
I’ve been more fortunate than most: a rich, full life; great family and friends; a successful Fortune 500 business career; and, most recently, producing entertaining, meaningful literature for readers to enjoy. Sadly, I’ve done little to give back to the society that has given me so much… until now. That’s why I’ve decided to donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of my books to two causes that are very important to me.
The Lilia Litvyak Museum
A modest museum, funded by the efforts of curator Valentina Vaschenko, sits in the town of Krasny Luch, Eastern Ukraine. It contains virtually all of the artifacts from the short life of the amazing young lady who was the world’s first, and most successful, female fighter pilot. These artifacts have been lovingly collected and displayed by Valentina for over 60 years. Outside the museum sits a granite monument confirming Lilia’s 15 solo kills. A metal sculpture of Lilia’s bust rests on top. My hope is to keep the museum vital; my dream is make it a must-see destination for the adventurous traveler.
The Papa Cado Fund
When one survives 46 different heart procedures, even the most comprehensive medical coverage leaves bills to be paid, co-pays to satisfy and numerous healthcare extras to remain physically and mentally well. Like grandparents everywhere, Arthur Mercado (aka Papa Cado) would like to leave some kind of financial legacy—however modest—to his four granddaughters. Book sales of PAPA CADO will help Arthur achieve that goal.
